If you're looking to stretch your English then this book should help. It is definitely upper intermediate. In some exercises the questions do not lead to clear yes/no answers so a native English speaker will help. However - this book aims to teach more than the native English speaker can usually teach unless the native English speaker is also trained in TEFL. Good buy.

I believe this is a very good book as far as vocabulary teaching goes. If the student makes little vocabulary cards, he can learn the words thematically and for life. The units are well separated into categories.
