I believe I have seen the same as this in the appendix to one or more Portuguese dictionaries. If you buy the dictionary, you'll get much better value for money, the same kind of grammar info added to a two-way dictionary, English/Portuguese and Portuguese/English.

Excellent little book which brings together a very good overview of Portuguese verbs combined with a short overview of the key points of grammar. I guess this book is probably best suited to students of Portuguese who have a good basic knowledge of the language as the explanations are now all that detailed, but just the right length to summarise all the key points. What is particularly useful if that this book covers both the forms of Portuguese most widely used, namely in Portugal and in Brazil and does not fall into the trap of some grammar books which favour one against the other. This is even shown in the choice of vocabulary used in the numerous examples given in the book.Linked to this, this book covers well the 'tu' form in all the paradigms. It always amazes me how some books relegate this form to the background, particularly so given that in Portugal (in contrast to Brazil) most younger people probably use and hear this form increasingly more (in adverts, internet forums, cafés and bars), and I suspect it now represents at least 30% of our daily usage. The book even covers the vós form of the verb, which although most students will never need to use themselves, is useful so that you can recognise it - used sometimes in very formal or religious contexts and still spoken in some regions in Portugal. The essentials of grammar section, like the verb section is not extremely detailed, but sets out clearly the key concepts of daily grammar with lots of useful examples and vocabulary, and even some examples of letters.I warmly recommend this book.

A bit disappointed that this doesn't have interactive exercises like the other one I bought by the same author. Also, I don't know what kind of printing process they use, but the ink has a kind of plasticky smell. But pretty good value for the price.

thought this was really just a verb book with a few extra tips, but turns out it gives a good overall summary of lots of portuguese grammar. Not for the fainthearted if you don't want to see ALL there is to learn! But some good examples and basics included.
